DDC chairman Ang reviews developmental works of R&B Department

Anantnag, April 9: The District Development Council (DDC) Chairman, Anantnag, Mohd Yousuf Gorsi today reviewed the status of ongoing development works and spill over works of the R&B Department.

DDC while appreciating the work culture of the department said that more than 90 percent works were completed in the previous financial year and for the current financial year 100 percent target will be completed well before the target.

Discussions were held for the plan of 2022-23, DDC members and BDC chairpersons put forth public grievances and sought full cooperation from the concerned department in this regard.

Discussion on the works like Sangam Khirim road, shifting of utilities, Dupatyar bridge, sether road, upgradation of link roads, Haukura bridge, Mir bazar Ashajipora road, Khudwani malpora road, Chirhama road, macadamization of leftover roads, repairing and construction of new residential quarters , establishment of panchayat secretariats, Dargdan road, Sumhaall Khayar bridge, etc were thoroughly discussed.

The ADDC while speaking on the occasion said that works of public importance must be prioritized. The PRIs emphasised on the participation of officials in the Gram Sabhas and block level sabhas so that genuine demands of the public will be kept in the different schemes/heads /projects.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, SE R&B, DPO, DDC members, BDC chairpersons, Executive engineers of R&B Khanabal, Vialoo, Qazigund, Concerned AEEs, and other officials of the department.
