SP College hosts friendly cricket match

Srinagar, Mar 30: Shri Pratap College Srinagar today organised a friendly cricket match here.

The match was played between SP College Staff and Valley Observer-11 at College’s main ground.

Sports Secretary, Prof. Tariq Ashai was chief guest of the occasion and senior journalist Arshid Hussain Kaloo was guest of honor.

They inaugurated the match in presence of Nodal Principal Kashmir Division /Principal SP College, Prof (Dr) Khurshid Ahmad Khan.

The match was held in T20 format in which Valley Observer –11 won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 196 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 8 wickets.

In return SP College scored 172 in 20 overs and lost the match by 24 runs.

Speaking on the occasion SP College Principal, Dr Khan congratulated the winning team and highlighted the importance of co-curricular activities in shaping the personality, confidence and can help to build the strong character in the end winning trophy was handed over to the captain of valley observer-11.

Man of the match was declared Yamin Ali Bhat who scored 75 runs just 26 balls.
