Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav:DIPR Cultural Wing organises Cultural Program-cum-Mushaira at Bajalata

Jammu, Mar 30: A Cultural Program-cum-Mushaira was today organized by the Cultural Wing of Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) Jammu in collaboration with Dogri Sahitya Sabha, Kuppad Pargalta at Bajalata.

The event was held under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav- Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav – an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements.

Former MLA Devender Singh Rana was the Chief Guest on the occasion.

While addressing the participants, the Chief Guest lauded the Information Department for organising Cultural Programme-cum-Mushaira to mark the celebration of 75 years of India’s Independence and using medium of cultural activities to spread awareness about a range of issues of public importance.

Artists of Cultural Wing Jammu Bunty Shah, Rajid Manzoor, Balbir Singh, Kamal Kumar, Mohinder Kumar and Mukesh Kumar presented Patriotic and folk Songs on the occasion.

The poets Ashok Kumar Sharma, Mohinder Bhagat, Prem Chand, Subash Sumbria, Gillu Ram, Yoj Raj Sharma and Janak Raj Bhagat  recited their poetic works on different social and cultural issues.
