Non-BJP parties will hold ‘dharna’ at ECI office on Tuesday: Naidu

Amaravati, :  Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam party national president N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday said that the non-BJP parties would hold a dharna in front of the ECI on Tuesday, demanding counting of VVPATs first.
Addressing party leaders through teleconference here on Monday, the Chief Minister told the leaders that the non-BJP parties would hold a ‘dharna’ in front of Election Commission of India’s office on May 21 demanding to take up counting of VVPATs first.
Andhra Pradesh CM said that he is going to Delhi on Monday evening again to continue efforts to form an alternative front to the BJP. He expressed anger over the ECI for misusing its powers.
He opined that the exit polls failed to catch the pulse of people, adding that he would still optimistic of TDP winning over 110 Assembly seats and up to 20 MP seats.
Mr Naidu said that training would be imparted to TDP’s polling agents once again on counting of votes and VVPATs. He asked polling agents to be very careful and vigilant on counting of VVPATs.
Meanwhile, responding on exit polls, he said on twitter, ‘Time and again exit polls have failed to catch the People’s pulse. Exit polls have proved to be incorrect and far from ground reality in many instances. Undoubtedly, TDP government will be formed in AP and we are also confident that non-BJP parties will form a non-BJP government at the Center’.
