Police holds meeting with retired police officers in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, Mar 25: In order to to redress the grievances of retirees, Police in Ganderbal held a meeting with retired police officers/officials at DPL Ganderbal.


The meeting was chaired by SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS in which more than 40 retired officers/officials participated. Besides, the meeting was also attended by ASP Ganderbal Shri Feroz Yehya-JKPS, DySP Hqrs Ganderbal, DySP DAR Ganderbal and other senior officers.

On the occasion, the participants were welcomed by SSP Ganderbal and thanked them for sparing their valuable time to attend the meeting. He assured the participants that police is always at their disposal and they are still part of Police organization. He also assured them that they can approach any police officer or police unit at any time of need.

During the meeting, the retired officers raised various issues. The chairing officer assured them that their genuine issues/problems would be taken up at an appropriate level for their early redressal.

Moreover, the chairing officer also reiterated that retirees are always welcomed for their valuable suggestions and there is great respect for them in the Police organization as they have rendered a long service and toiled hard to earn a name for the organization. He also added that various measures are taken by the Police department for the welfare of retired police personnel and their wards.

The meeting concluded with the vote of thanks and with the assurance that such meetings will be held on regular basis in future also to redress the grievances of the retirees.
