Director AHD Jammu felicitates officers for commendable service in Dairy Development

Jammu, Mar 17: A felicitation ceremony was held today in the office complex of Directorate of Animal Husbandry TalabTillo, wherein Director Animal Husbandry Jammu, Dr.Sagar D. Doifode felicitated Chief Animal Husbandry officers and other senior officers of the department for their achievements in Dairy Development.

Terming the achievements of all district officers ‘extraordinary’, the Director congratulated them and hoped that they will continue to work with the same zeal and zest for the uplift of the farming community.

The Director said that whatever the department has achieved under the guidance and support from the Principal Secretary to the J&K Govt. Animal/Sheep Husbandry& Fisheries Department, Navin Kumar Choudhary in terms of enhanced milk production is remarkable as it has paved the way for turning J&K milk-surplus from being milk-deficient of late.

He further said that establishment of more than 2000 dairy units in such a short span is nothing short of a ‘revolution’ and speaks loud about the commitment and efforts put by the district officers as well as their subordinate staff in ensuring this feat.

While lauding the efforts of the officers from the Directorate office complex he said that the pace of sanctioning of cases gives insights about the work culture adopted here which ultimately benefits the needy farmers in terms of enjoying a hassle free experience.

While discussing the future action plan for implementation of schemes in the Jammu division, worthy Director exhorted upon all the officers to accord top priority to setting up of Milk Processing Infrastructure while meeting prescribed standards, in the districts of Jammu division as well as developing market linkages thereof on a campaign mode to assure better returns to farmers. He further stressed upon the need to leverage information technology for creating awareness amongst farmers in this regard.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Animal Husbandry officers and other senior officers expressed gratitude towards the worthy Director for providing dynamic leadership and constant encouragement to the staff. Moreover personal attention accorded by the Director towards various welfare schemes being implemented by the Animal Husbandry Department Jammu was also instrumental for achieving the success, they added.

The CEO Livestock Development Board Jammu, Joint Director Farms Belicharana Jammu, Joint Director Poultry Belicharana Jammu, Joint Director ARV Lab R.S Pura, all the Chief Animal Husbandry Officers, Deputy Directors and other senior officers from the department were present on the occasion.
