Ghulam Hassan Mir expresses concern over loss of life in the Baramulla Landslide incident. Demands compensation to the affected families

Administration should take preventive measures to avoid further loss of lives

Srinagar, Mar 16: Former Cabinet Minister and Apni Party Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir has expressed his deep concern over the landslide incident which has consumed two lives and left several others injured at Baramulla last evening.


In a statement to the press, Mir expressed his sympathy and strength with the bereaved family members in this hour of loss and prayed for the peace of the departed soul.

Mir urged the administration to provide compensation to the next of kins of the deceased and ex-gratia to the injured people. He also demanded time bound special treatment to all those injured in the landslide incident.Meanwhile Mir urged the administration to hold surveys of the land extraction projects and review the situation before the projects are taken up to ensure safety measures to the workers involved in the extraction of soil and other minerals.
