Pedestrian Killed in Sopore Road Mishap

Srinagar, Mar 15 : A 51-year-old man was killed after a mini-truck hit him at Pouthkha Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday afternoon.

Reports reaching GNS said that one Abdul Majeed Sheikh son of Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh a resident of Frasdobh Khaitnag sustained critical injuries after being hit by a mini-truck bearing registration number JK05E 2472. The injured person was evacuated from the site however he succumbed on way to a nearby hospital.

A police official confirming the incident told GNS that the person alleged to have caused the accident has been arrested and a case registered in this regard for further proceedings.
