Sindh Forest Division Ganderbal organized a Chinar Day under ‘Green J&K Drive’ at Dugpora Nursery in Ganderbal

Srinagar, Mar 15:The Chinar plantation drive was inaugurated by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir P K Pole by planting Chinar sapling in the Dugpora Nursery.

It was informed that the Department would Chinar saplings at different schools and Government institutions free of cost to help improve green cover in the JK.

Div com P K Pole said the such plantation drives will be launched in every Govt. institutions and buildings under the theme of ‘Har Gaon Haryali’.

Afforestation through Plantation drive is crucial to maintain ecological balance and increase Green cover, the Div com added.

The school children of various local schools also participated in the drive.

Divisional commissioner Kashmir among PCCF JK Dr. Mohit Gera, DFO’s and other forest employees present on the occasion.
