Firefighter Injured in the Rescue Operation in Batamaloo Srinagar

Srinagar, Mar 14 : A firefighter has received burn wounds in the rescue operation in Batamaloo in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.

A Fire and Emergency Department official told GNS that one Mohammad Ahsan, an LFM (Leading Fireman) received injuries in his right hand during the rescue operation in Sheikh Hamza Colony.

“Around ten houses in proximity are involved in the flames”, the official said adding the area is too congested and we are trying our best to contain the fire as soon as possible to avoid its spread to other structures.

As reported, the massive conflagration broke out at around 10:55 PM.

Responding to the emergency fire tenders from multiple stations in and around the affected area were rushed to douse the flames.
