Sarpanch escapes militant attack in Pulwama

Pulwama, Mar 12: An independent Sarpanch escaped unhurt after being fired upon by militants on Saturday afternoon in Arihal area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, official sources said.
Sources revealed that independent Sarpanch of Panchayat Halqa Arihal-B namely Ghulam Nabi Kumar resident of Arihal was fired by unknown gunmen in Arihal and is safe due to missing target of the militants.


Meanwhile, as per official sources the area has being cordoned off by the security forces and efforts are underway to nab the militants.
