1 Killed, Businessman from Kashmir Among 4 Injured in Haryana Road Mishap

Srinagar, Mar 10 : A person was killed and four other persons, which included a businessman from Kashmir, were injured after a vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident in Haryana’s Karnal city on Wednesday.

Reports reaching GNS that an accident took place after a truck collided with vehicle in Karnal city, leaving a person dead and four others injured.

While the identity of the deceased besides three other non-Kashmiris could not be immediately ascertained, the injured person from Kashmir was identified as one Nissar Ahmad Peer (40) son of Ashiq Hussain Peer, a resident of Kulmuna Kupwara.

The injured were in the meantime rushed to a nearby health facility for treatment.

Brother of the person from Kashmir told GNS that Nissar was on way back to Kashmir. “We have learnt that the vehicle my brother was travelling in alongside four other persons when their vehicle met with an accident in Karnal.”

“A person has died and four others including my brother are also said to have received injuries in the incident”, he said adding his brother is a businessman.

Meanwhile GNS has learnt that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in this regard.
