DC Ganderbal Distributes Farm Machinery under different schemes among beneficiaries

Ganderbal, Mar 3: With a mission to boost Agro Sector and double the income of farmers, Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna today distributed Agro machinery among identified beneficiaries at a distribution camp organized by District Agriculture office Ganderbal here at Mini Secretariat Ganderbal.

The DC distributed  farm-tractors (20 no.) an  motorized vending carts (07 no.) among identified beneficiaries costing Rs 45.50 lakh as subsidy component.

While interacting with the beneficiaries, the DC urged the farmers to adopt latest technological interventions and methodology to improve crop productivity.  She asked them to come and avail benefits of various government schemes rolled out to boost the agriculture sector.

Chief Agriculture Officer informed that With this farm machinery distribution, employment opportunity for 54 Unemployed  youth has been created in current financial year and these  components are one amongst of  the  series of   interventions  through centrally and state sponsored schemes  where farmers are being facilitated  to achieve the Prime Minister’s dream of doubling their income.

Chief Agriculture Officer and other staff of the department were also present on the occasion.
