Mayor over sees Snow clearance drives in Srinagar City

Srinagar, Feb 23:Mayor Srinagar  Junaid Azim Mattu  along with SMC officers including Joint Commissioner Works, Secretary SMC Mudasir Hussain Famda, Chief Sanitation  Officer Nazir Ahmed Baba, Executive Engineer Mechanical Division  toured several areas in the
uptown and the old city to take up   on the-spot inspection of the snow clearance drive.
Mattu  in his presence got several areas cleared and passed on directions to the concerned to keep clearing snow constantly.
He also reviewed snow clearance from vital roads, link roads, at hospitals, places of worship, city center and major markets.
Besides Reviewing snow  clearance in Srinagar city Mattu passed on instructions to the concerned
to keep men and machinery available during the night hours so as to  clear any  unattended areas.
Meanwhile Mayor also  directed SMC to go for clearance of all  city lanes besides focusing on clearing snow from hospitals, City roads, important destinations, worship places etc. so that no resident faces any inconvenience due to snow accumulation.
 He was informed that  snow was  cleared on all important stretches running through the city and connecting important  destinations, with special focus on the roads leading to hospitals, religious places and the Government offices.
Besides the manpower in place all the machinery including loaders, hoppers and other snow clearance machines are on job
