Forest Fire Triggers Landmine Blasts Along LoC in Poonch

Srinagar, Feb 21: A forest fire which reportedly broke out on intervening February 20 and 21 night has triggered landmine blasts along Line of Control in Poonch district.

Reports reaching GNS said that the blasts have been heard intermittently since last night in the Balnoi area of Krishna Ghati sector in Mendhar.

The forest fire was raging, when the last reports came in.

A police official confirming the outbreak of fire in the area told GNS that around a dozen mine blasts have been heard so far, with the blaze yet to be brought under control.
