Srinagar, Feb 18 : An 8-year-old girl died after drowning in a rivulet in Tekipora in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Friday afternoon.
Reports reaching GNS said that Sania, 8, daughter of Shamsuddin Bhat drowned in Machhar nallah. Soon after the news spread, locals of the area rushed to the site and fished out the girl in unconscious condition and took her to SDH Sogam, where the doctors declared her as brought dead on arrival.
A medical official confirming the incident told GNS that the body was lying at SDH Sogam.
