Vigilance Awareness Fortnight: DDC Chairman visits Chittergul

Anantnag, Feb 15: The District Development Council (DDC) Chairman, Anantnag, Mohd M.Yousuf  Gorsi today visited the Aspirational block Chittergul to get the first hand information of the ongoing vigilance awareness fortnight programmes in the concerned block.

The concerned officers viz ACP Anantnag, BDO Chittergul, AD food deliberated on different aspects of the programme like inclusion of non deserving households from the list of PHH BPL etc and inclusion of deserving beneficiaries. Timely availability of ration at food stores, easy access to food stores, clean supply of food grains etc were the main points of discussion.

People apprised the chairman about the problems that the block is facing, which the chairman assured will be taken up with the concerned departments.

Gorsi while speaking on the occasion said that the mass participation of the people will help to implement the NFSA in its true spirit.

Praising the work of the food department after getting the good feedback from the local people and PRIs, Gorsi said that the government is committed to bring facilities at the doorsteps of the people and added that people should come forward to get the benefits of the government schemes.

Later, Gorsi visited the developmental works of the block.

The chairman was accompanied by ACP, BDO, BDC chairman Chittergul, sarpanchs, panches and the concerned officials of the various departments.
