DC Ramban reviews progress on PMGSY projects, interacts with contractors

Ramban, Feb 4: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Islam on Friday chaired a meeting to review the progress on Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) projects in the district.

CPO, Dr. Kasturi Lal; Executive Engineer, PMGSY Ramban, KK Sharma and other Engineers and contractors attended the meeting.

The DC conducted a detailed review of  the projects and inquired from the contractors the status  of road and bridge projects being executed by them in different parts of the district. The Executive Engineer was asked to ensure completion of work on all projects before ending March of the current year.

While interacting with the contractors, the DC assured them full cooperation from the District Administration in completing the ongoing road and bridge projects in the interest of the general public.

Earlier, the contractors apprised the DC about working conditions and bottlenecks hindering the pace of progress. The DC resolved all the issues on the spot by directing concerned officers.

The DC set the targets for completion of the ongoing road projects of total length 208 KM.   He also directed the Engineers to ensure the quality of construction work.

Executive Engineer informed that black topping work on 64.57 km  road has been completed,  while Ramban Division has also constructed 7.53 KM fair weather road.
