DDC Doda reviews performance of PWD Department under Area Development Plan, other sectors

Sets ending February as deadline for completion of all ADP works

Doda, Feb 4: District Development Commissioner Doda, Vikas Sharma on Friday chaired a meeting of the PWD department here at the DC office complex and reviewed the performance of the department under Area Development Plan and other sectors.

During the meeting, the DDC enquired about the status of works approved under ADP,  elementary education i and untied sector in terms of physical and financial status, besides sought reasons for the works which are not yet taken up/held up at different levels for execution.

The DDC directed the concerned executing divisions to complete all the allotted ADP works by or before ending February. The departmental authorities directed to ask the concerned AEEs to chase down all the pending bills submitted at their respective treasuries for time bound payment.

With regard to the internal ceiling work at SDH Bhaderwah, the DDC directed the concerned AEE to complete the work by the end of this month. The planning section was asked to coordinate with the concerned stakeholders and write to the Finance department with regard to the insufficient availability of funds for the works of P.S Zadan and M S Rukali.

Regarding M S Hudd, Assar, the DDC directed the Ex En to get the NOC for the execution of work in place of the existing unsafe building from the CEO and to start the work immediately. The Ex En PWD Doda was asked to re-tender the beautification work of town under the untied sector.

With regard to Monshan link road, the DDC was apprised by the AEE concerned that the work will be completed within a week’s time. Regarding the construction of Tondwah to Nai Basti road, the DDC directed the ADC Doda to conduct spot inspection to resolve the issue in coordination with GMC authorities.

The meeting was attended by CPO Doda, SE PWD Circle Doda, and Ex En Doda. Besides, AEEs were also present.
