DDC Anantnag reviews functioning of R&B, PMGSY

Anantnag, Jan 28: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag, Dr Piyush Singla reviewed the functioning of R&B and PMGSY departments at Dak Bungalow here.

During the meeting, a thorough deliberation regarding various projects being implemented by the said agencies was held.

Superintending Engineer (SE) R&B informed the chair that the department has completed 185 projects/ works and 43 shall be completed in two months. He said that Rs 86 crore has been disbursed by the department under various schemes.

The DDC reviewed various important works and directed the department to ensure that the projects are completed within stipulated timelines. He lauded the department for the macadamization program carried throughout the year.

He also reviewed the Khanabal bridge project and impressed upon the department to complete the work on priority.

Reviewing the functioning of the PMGSY department, the chair was informed that more than 79 kms have been covered under new habitation coverage under PMGSY I and II. Further 31 renewal projects have been completed.

The meeting was attended by CPO, Executive Engineer R&B Anantnag, R&B Qazigund, Executive Engineer PIU Anantnag and PMGSY among others.
