BJP to perform bad in UP due to strong Congress candidates: Priyanka

Rae Bareli, :  Congress general secretary (Uttar Pradesh east) Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has predicted that in UP, BJP will perform badly only due to the strong fight from Congress candidates.

“BJP will suffer a major setback in UP, they’ll lose badly mostly in those seats where Congress is strong and our candidates are giving a tough fight, Congress will win,” she said during an election meeting in Baghola.

However, Priyanka also admitted that in those places where there are weak Congress candidates in UP, they will just dent into the vote bank of BJP so that the opposition candidate wins.

This was for the first time Priyanka had disclosed the strategy of the party in UP.
Priyanka, who is campaigning in his mother Sonia Gandhi’s Rae Bareli and brother, Congress president Rahul Gandhi’ s Amethi constituencies, for the past two days, on Wednesday met voters and party workers in Baghola area.

Elections in Amethi and Raebareli are scheduled to be held on May 6 in the fifth phase of polling.
