Turmoil in DDC Srinagar 5 elected members resign from Apni Party

Srinagar, Jan 13 : In a setback to Apni Party, vice—Chairperson of Srinagar district development council (DDC), Bilal Ahmad Bhat along with four other elected councilors resigned from the party on Thursday.

Talking to news agency—Kashmir News Observer(KNO) Bilal Ahmad Bhat, who was elected as vice—chairperson of DDC Srinagar last year, said that he along with other four councilors have resigned from the party today.

“We have won as independent candidates in DDC polls and later joined Apni Party. Now we have decided that we will continue as independent councilors,” he said.

He said DDC members Ali Muhammad, Muhammad Shaban, Shamima and Muhammad Yasin have also resigned the party—(KNO)
