DC Srinagar reviews Action Plan for Revival, Restoration, Preservation & Maintenance of Architecture, Heritage of Srinagar

Proposal for restoration of five Heritage buildings finalised

SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 03: A meeting of District Level Coordination-cum-Implementation Committee (DLCIC) was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad here today to finalize and formulate a comprehensive action plan for restoration, revival, preservation and maintenance of Architecture and Heritage of religious places/assets in district.

On the occasion, the meeting discussed threadbare the action plan prepared for restoration, revival, preservation and maintenance of identified sites of religious places/assets.

It was given out that DPR has been formulated for restoration and development of identified 5 sites on heritage pattern in district including development of Ziyarat of Hazrat Sheikh Dawood RA, restoration of Temple at Ganpatyar, restoration & conservation of Shrine of Syed Mohammad Hussain MAzandarani, Khankahi Sokhta, Reconstruction of Mangleshwar Bhairav Asthapan at Brari Nambal, Babadam and development & restoration of Ram Mandir at Safakadal.

While reviewing the action plan of the projects finalized for development and renovation of all 5 sites, the DC directed the executive agency to complete all codal formalities for start of the restoration works.
