PDD Lineman Electrocuted in Uri Succumbs at Hospital After 10 Days

Uri, Dec 24 : A Power Development Department daily-wager lineman electrocuted in Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district last week, succumbed to his injuries this afternoon.

As reported a lineman namely Mohammad Amin, 55, son of Mohammad Azam Awan was electrocuted while repairing a transformer at his native village Kalgi in Uri on December 15.

The lineman was shifted to sub-district hospital Uri from where he was referred to GMC Baramulla for preferential treatment. However, ten days after admission at the hospital, the lineman succumbed to his injuries this afternoon, as informed by a medical official at the hospital. (GNS)
