Srinagar Admin ensures minimal Power outage in the district

DC inspects hospitals, receiving stations to oversee power supply arrangements
SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 20: In view of the ongoing strike of engineering staff and daily wagers of Power Development Department(PDD), the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad Monday undertook a surprise visit to various Power Receiving Stations to oversee the power supply arrangements especially with regard to the critical and emergency feeders in Srinagar district.
Managing Director KPDCL, Basharat Qayoom, Chief Engineer, Aijaz Ahmad Dar, Chief Planning Officer Srinagar, Mohammad Yaseen Lone and other concerned accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during the visit.
The DC while interacting with the officers said that District Administration Sringar has ensured minimal outage in supply of electricity in the district to ensure people do not suffer, keeping in view the severity of the ensuing harsh winter season
While taking stock of supply of electricity at Power Receiving Station in Bone & Joint Hospital, the DC was apprised by Hospital authorities that normal power supply is being supplied to the Hospital and all routine activities are being carried out without any difficulty.
The DC was also given brief on account of healthcare facilities being extended to the patient.
At Power Receiving Station Solina, the DC inspected the functioning of the control Room and main supply unit where electricity is being supplied to Lal Ded Hospital and other emergency installations.
On the occasion, the DC was informed that electricity supply to Lal Ded hospital is supplied without any problem to ensure patient care is not affected.
Meanwhile, the DC has directed the concerned to take all requisite measures to ensure power supply to consumers as per already notified schedule.
