Community mobilization program held at HSS Ghou Manhasan

JAMMU, DECEMBER 17: A Community Mobilization Programme of School Management committees (SMCs), School Management and Development Committees (SMDCs), Village Education Committees (VEC) and PRI members was today organised under the aegis of Samagra Shiksha by the Zonal Education Office, Marh here at Government Higher Secondary School, Ghou Manhasan.

Community Members were acquainted with the roles and responsibilities of SMCS, SMDCS, VECs and PRI members in the development of Schools. They were requested to come forward and revive the Education System for the future of children of their locality. They were also made aware about government schemes like Mid Day Meal programme, Free textbooks, free uniforms for class 1st to 8th, Scholarship Schemes for SC/ST/OBC, disabled students and National Means cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS).

Community Members were urged to promote the enrolment by encouraging the general public to send their children to government schools to get quality education by highly qualified teachers and to avail a string of facilities.

Speakers from different school committees gave their valuable suggestions for the welfare of students and uplift of the Education System.

The vote of thanks was presented by Zonal Education Officer Marh, Ram Rakha.

Kalpana Jasrotia, Principal HSS Ghou Manhasan, Headmaster GHS Sadwan, Chairman Municipal committee Ghou Manhasan and staff members of the Government Schools of HSS Ghou Manhasan cluster were present on the occasion.
