DDC Chairperson G’bl reviews developmental scenario in district

GANDERBAL, DECEMBER 16:  District Development Council (DDC) chairperson Ganderbal, Nuzhat Ishfaq today chaired a meeting to review progress of works approved under District Capex Plan in the district here at Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat Ganderbal.

The meeting was attended by DDC Vice-Chairperson, Bilal Ahmad, ADDC Ganderbal, Pir Muzafar, DDC Members, CPO, ACR, ACP and other district officers.

At the outset, a comprehensive discussion was held about various ongoing developmental activities in the district wherein the concerned officers of various departments briefed the chair about the current status of such works.

The DDC Chairperson stressed upon the concerned departments/agencies to expedite pace of work so that all the undertaken projects are completed within a stipulated time frame.

Meanwhile, DDC members also brought several developmental issues in their concerned areas in to the notice of the chair for which Nuzhat Ishfaq asked the concerned departments to ensure timely redressal of the genuine issued raised especially with regard to power, water and other basic facilities so that the people may not suffer in harsh winter.

While reviewing the power scenario, the DDC Chairperson directed officials from KPDCL to expedite procurement of material including Wires, Poles, Transformers so that electric works are completed well on time.

The meeting also discussed the snow clearance plan in the district. The DDC Chairperson emphasized that there should be no laxity in snow clearance operations during winter and said that the concerned departments must be equipped to ensure time-bound snow clearance operations.

ADDC Ganderbal on the occasion said that district administration is committed to ensure timely completion of all development works in the district and sought cooperation of all DDC members in this regard.
