DC Bandipora reviews power supply Scenario in Sumbal Sub Division, chairs grievances redressal camp

BANDIPORA, DECEMBER 13: Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmad on Wednesday visited Sumbal Sub Division to review the power Scenario in the Sub Division.

He was accompanied by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Dr Bashir Ahmad, Executive Engineer PDD, members of Panchayat Raj Institutions and other senior officers of the district.

Dr Owais inspected ongoing construction of 10MVA Receiving Station in Sumbal. The officers were informed about the status of work and informed that work is in its final stage. DC Bandipora work directed the officers to complete the finishing works so that the receiving station can be made functional, inaugurated and connected to the grid.

He said the receiving station will help to augment the power infrastructure and will reduce the load on the system thereby improving the power supply of the area.

Later the Deputy Commissioner also held a grievance redressal camp at Wangipora  Sumbal.

During the camp various public deputations from, Sumbal, Wangipor, Shadipora  and adjoining villages  including locals and PRI members flagged various issues of public interest besides raising several demands seeking early redressal of the grievances.

The issues raised by the deputations and individuals includes macadamization of left out of roads, up-gradation of Healthcare centres and Schools, Providing regular power and water supply to the villages, Estimation of pending RDD works etc.

The DC after listening to various public demands directed concerned officers to ensure prompt and speedy redressal of the issues raised during the camp.

He assured that all issues within his competence will be redressed as early as possible whereas the other all genuine demands will be taken up at appropriate forums for their resolution.
