National Energy Conservation Day observed in shopian

SHOPIAN, DECEMBER 15:-  On 14th of December 2021, National Energy Conservation Day was observed by the department of Education Shopian. The Programme was organized by Chief Education Office Shopian in collaboration with DIET Shopian . The day was also observed in various schools of District Shopian but the main function was held at DIET SHOPIAN.

Chief Education Officer Shopian Mr Mohamad Mushtaq inaugurated the function. Addressing the function, he said it has become the duty of human beings now to put efforts for conservation of energy. Life on the planet can’t sustain long without taking preventive measures.

He said like other fundamental duties, it is the primary obligation now to make ways for saving the planet earth for sustainable life.  He was reminded about the laws of energy and their importance. He impressed upon environmental and ecological balances and advised the gathering to adopt energy conservation methods in life. He said it is important to impart knowledge of energy conservation in students at various levels in schools.

A number of other speakers also expressed their views on the occasion. The overall morale for observing the day was to impart awareness about Energy Conservation.

The function was concluded by organizing a rally from DIET Shopian to main Market shopian under the banner “Conservation of Energy” for overall mass awareness.

Meanwhile the CEO Shopian addressed the ongoing science seminar on “Immunity Boosting” a COVID related programme at DIET Shopian. He delivered a word of motivation to the participating students and gave them general awareness about the COVID-19 virus it’s adverse effects and methods to avoid it in the first instance.
