2-day placement drive concludes in Jammu

JAMMU, DECEMBER 14: The 2-day placement drive for the ITI candidates organized by District Industries Centre, Jammu concluded, here today.

The said drive was undertaken with a motive to provide the job opportunities to the local youth of Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir under the overall supervision of General Manager DIC Jammu, Subah Mehta.

The Resumes/CVs from candidates were collected and interviews were conducted in the premises of the unit by Mohammad Ashraf,   Project Manager DIC Jammu, Sumit Chandail, Training & Placement Officer, Govt. ITI Jammu along with Management of Industrial Unit interacted with many candidates from various ITIs. During the recruitment drive, 14 candidates were selected by the team and they were given the job offer letters by M/s Decowel Shoes Pvt. Ltd on the spot.

Moreover, the candidates who couldn’t make it in the final selection list were also guided about the highlights / procedure and various formalities required for registration under the PMEGP (Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Program) scheme to make themselves job creators instead of job seekers. They were also told about various benefits / subsidies they can get by registering themselves with the respective DIC.
