Home Minister to give statement on Nagaland incident in Lok Sabha

New Delhi, Dec 6:Home Minister Amit Shah will make a statement in Lok Sabha on the Nagaland incident, Parliamtary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said in the House.

The Nagaland incident, in which 13 civilians were killed in Mon district of the state when a security operation went awry, was raised by opposition members as soon as the House met at 11 am.

Joshi informed the members that the Minister would give a statement on the issue in the House.

Leader of Congress in the House Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said the Minister should have given the statement in the beginning of the sitting.

Speaker Om Birla also assured the opposition members they will be allowed to speak later.

The House then resumed the proceedings and took up the Question Hour.
