Mega Enrollment campaign held at Pinjoora, Shopian

SHOPIAN, NOVEMBER 30: A mega enrollment campaign was today undertaken by the School Education Department, Shopian in Pinjoora cluster of Zone Shopian.

The drive was flagged-off by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Shopian,  Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani,  besides Chief Education Officer Shopian,  Principal Higher Secondary School, Narpora, Zonal Education Officer Shopian and other Officers also took part in the enrollment drive.

ADC apprised the masses about the achievements made by the School Education in the Development of society from the times immemorial besides appreciating the meticulous efforts of teaching staff with various interventions.

21 new entrants were admitted in the Govt Schools on spot during the course of the drive with the greeting and best wishes of Officers.

Simnani stressed on teachers for ensuring optimum enrollment in Schools besides maintaining zero dropout rates and 100 percent retention of students forthwith.

During the course of the event, it was intimated by the authorities that since the commencement of the drive 1500 new students have been admitted across various Govt schools of the district which include 19 percent of those belonging to dropout category.
