DC Kulgam reviews status of Covid-19

Stresses on aggressive testing, vaccination; implementation of CAB

KULGAM, NOVEMBER 30: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today chaired a meeting of Officers to review Covid-19 management/mitigation efforts in the district.

During the meeting, the DC instructed the health department to scale up the pace of testing across the district especially in hospitals to keep check on the spread of Covid-19 infection. He emphasized that the health department must adhere to the 3Ts of Test, Track and Treat to keep the spread of virus under check.

The DC also directed for strict enforcement of CAB to avoid spread of Coronavirus infection in the district.

Joint teams of police and administration were instructed to impose fines on people found without masks. He also appealed to the masses to strictly follow CAB in public places; use masks and wash hands regularly.

The DC further stressed on launching IEC activities regarding Covid-19 and directed functionaries to spread awareness among people about the possible threats of new variant of Covid-19 through various media.

Dr Bilal also reviewed the progress made under Ayushman Bharat (PMJAY) and Har Ghar Dastak and stressed on expediting registration of beneficiaries for Golden Cards.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, ADC, Addl. SP, CMO, ACD, ACR, BMOs, Tehsildars and other concerned officials of the concerned departments.
