COVID-19 : Ladakh records 12 fresh cases, one more death

Srinagar, Nov 30 : One person succumbed to COVID-19 in Ladakh Union Territory (UT) which witnessed twelve fresh cases during the past 24 hours, an official source said on Tuesday.

He said that one person died due to the virus in Leh township of Ladakh, taking the overall death toll to 214 in the UT.

Meanwhile, 29 recovered patients were discharged from various hospitals of the UT, the sources said, they added that 27 patients were discharged by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Leh and two by CMO Kargil during the period.

They said there are 250 active positive cases in the UT – Leh has 229 cases and Kargil has 21 presently under treatment.

The sources said 776 passengers were screened at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport at Leh while 120 passengers including drivers and helpers were screened at Khaltsi Check post for virus.
