Kanpur, Oct 15 (UNI) Train services on Delhi-Kanpur trunk rail route has been paralyzed due to derailment of 24 wagons of a goods train between Ambiyapur and Rura stations under Prayagraj division of North Central railway in Uttar Pradesh on Friday.

According to officials, 24 wagons of a goods train got derailed between Ambiyapur and Rura stations under Prayagraj division of North Central railway in Kanpur Dehat district.

They said, though no one was injured in the accident but the track was uprooted for about a hundred meters. and the wagons collided with each other.

The wagons collided with each other and five wagons fell into ta nearby pond while three wagons fell on tracks, they said, adding, train services on both up and down lines of New Delhi-Howrah have been disrupted.
\Ambiyapur station master Pawan Kumar said, “There was a loud noise at the time of derailment of the goods train.”
The goods train was going towards Kanpur from Delhi with an empty wagon at around 5.30 am on Friday when it got derailed.
Railway rescue and technical teams have reached from Kanpur and Tundla. Several long distance trains including Shatabdi Express were affected.
At present, railway officials could not say when the normal services would be restored.

The Kanpur-Delhi Shatabdi has been cancelled, while the routes of other important trains have been changed. Train No – 2034 New Delhi – Kanpur Shatabdi Express will not run today.

Railway sources said, trains have been diverted from Kanpur via Kasganj, while trains coming from Delhi before Etawah are being diverted from Tundla.
Following trains have been diverted:

04411 Bhagalpur – Anand Vihar Express will run via Lucknow- Moradabad-Ghaziabad instead of its scheduled route.

02871 Magadh Express will run via Kanpur Anwarganj – Farrukhabad – Shikohabad instead of its scheduled route.

02313 Sealdah – New Delhi Express will run via Kanpur-Jhansi-Agra-Palwal-New Delhi instead of its scheduled route.

02581 Banaras – New Delhi Express will run via Kanpur Anwarganj-Farrukhabad-Shikohabad instead of its scheduled route.

02301 Howrah – New Delhi Express will run via Kanpur-Jhansi-Agra-Palwal-New Delhi instead of its scheduled route.

02423 Dibrugarh – New Delhi Rajdhani Express will run via Kanpur-Jhansi-Agra-Palwal-New Delhi instead of its scheduled route.

02453 Ranchi – New Delhi Express will run via Kanpur-Jhansi-Agra-Palwal-New Delhi instead of its scheduled route.

02315 Kolkata – Udaipur Express will run via Kanpur Anwarganj-Farrukhabad-Mathura- Achhnera instead of its scheduled route.

02583 Hatia – Anand Vihar Express will run via Prayagraj Chheoki – Jhansi – Agra – Palwal instead of its scheduled route.
