Nation stands alongside MP in tackling flood havoc: PM

Bhopal, Aug 7 (UNI) Premier Narendra Modi on Saturday assured Madhya Pradesh of continued and unalloyed cooperation from the Centre vis-à-vis combatting the consequences of inclement weather that recently ravaged the state’s northern region.
“The flood situation is indeed tragic. However, the rest of the country stands alongside Madhya Pradesh in this hour of crisis. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, his ministerial colleagues and his officers are part of a Herculean endeavour to mitigate the impact of nature’s fury. The affected citizens are being assisted in every manner possible. The characteristic of every disaster is the long shadow that it casts,” the top politician said via video conferencing from the national capital while addressing the commencement of the Anna Utsav under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana.
