Former UNI editor Neeraj Bajpai passes away

New Delhi, Aug 6 (UNI) Veteran journalist and former editor of United News of India Neeraj Bajpai died at his residence in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh early on Friday.

Bajpai, 64, suffered a cardiac arrest at 0130 hrs.

He is survived by his wife and daughter.

Bajpai began his career from Kanpur bureau of the organisation.

In 1993, he was transferred to the National Capital where he served in various capacities.

In 2016, he was appointed as the Editor and given responsibilities of the Editor-in-Chief.

His last rites will be performed after his daughter returns from abroad.

Mourning his demise, PCI tweeted, ‘We are saddened by the passing away of senior journalist and former UNI Editor-in-Chief Neeraj Bajpai.

A veteran in political and Parliamentary reporting , he will be remembered for his humble nature and helpful attitude.’
