LS adjourned till 1400 hrs amid Oppn protest over Pegasus snooping row, farm bills

New Delhi, Jul 26 (UNI) Proceedings of the Lok Sabha were adjourned till 1400 hrs on Monday amid ruckus by the Opposition over various issues, including Pegasus row, inflation and new farm bills.

As soon as the House assembled at 1100 hrs, the House paid tributes to the fallen heroes on the 22nd anniversary of the Kargil Vijay Diwas.

The House congratulated Mirabai Chanu for winning the silver medal in weightlifting at Tokyo Olympics 2020.

When the Question Hour commenced, the Opposition Members entered the Well of the House and

started sloganeering over the Pegasus snooping row, inflation and new farm bills.

The Opposition members were demanding a response from the government on these issues.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla made repeated requests to the Opposition members to return to their seats asking them to listen to the government’s reply during the Question Hour.

As the Opposition members did not pay heed to Mr Birla’s repeated requests, he adjourned

the House till 1400 hrs.
