Youth injured in road accident in Anantnag, dies

Srinagar, Jun 21 (UNI) A 23-year-old youth, who was critically injured in a road accident in south Kashmir district of Anantnag last week, succumbed to his injuries in a hospital here on early Monday.

Official sources said that two persons were injured in a road accident at Mominabad in Anantnag on June 15. The injured were immediately taken to a local hospital from where one of them, identified as Zakir Hamid, was referred to S K Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura, they said.


After battling for his life for about a week, the youth succumbed in the hospital. “After completing all the legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites,” the sources added.
