Accident claims eight lives in Bangladesh

Dhaka, Mar 28 :  A head-on collision between a passenger bus and a microbus left eight people dead while 25 others sustained injuries early on Thursday in Bangladesh’s Chattogram district, a police official said.

Police official said “Eight passengers were killed on the spot in the head-on collision between the passenger bus and the microbus.”

All the deceased were aboard the microbus, he said.

Local media feared the death toll may rise.
According to the police official, all the injured were rushed to local hospitals and clinics.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
