COVID-19: National tally at it’s highest in five months

 

New Delhi, Mar 25:  India on Thursday recorded 53,476 cases of COVID-19 infections, the highest single day rise in the country since November 6, 2020, the Union Health Ministry said.

The country also registered 251 deaths during the past 24 hours, while the active case count stands at 3.95 lakhs.

While Maharashtra registered 31,855 cases which is a new record for the state, Punjab stood second with 2,613 fresh infections.
