Amit Shah is expected to release BJP manifesto for Bengal on Mar 21

Kolkata, Mar 19: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to release the BJP election manifesto for Bengal on March 21 as the saffron brigade already named nearly all the party candidates for the state’s eight-phased poll starting on March 27.

Party sources said that Mr Shah is likely to release its election manifesto or promises at the EZCC complex at Salt Lake on Sunday.

BJP in two phases issued party candidates from New Delhi but the election manifesto or electoral promises for Bengal to be released from this city.

Sources said the party has stressed major development work in north Bengal areas and tribal-dominated Jangalmahal regions said to be comparatively backward areas than the south Bengal districts.

The BJP on Wednesday named 148 candidates for the last four phases in Bengal where party vice president Mukul Roy

was named to fight from Krishhanagar North in Nadia district.

The party is yet to announce 11 more names for the 294 seats in the state.

Sabyasachi Dutta, Shilbhadra Dutta, Jitendra Tiwari, Sunil Singh and Subhrangshu Roy (Mukul’s son), among others.

been fielded from the high-profile Bhabanipur constituency in the city.
