Two days workshop on theatre as a tool in communication

Srinagar, March 18:  Kashmir Press Club organizing a two day workshop on “Theatre As a Tool In Communication”. The workshop will be held on March 21 & 22.

The workshop will be conducted by Mohammad Amin Bhat, a well-known playwright, theatre director and television anchor of Kashmir. The other resource person/trainer is Junaid Rather, a scholar of ‘Traditional Theatre Arts of Kashmir, who has been conducting workshops on theatre with local artists and is committed to institutionalize theatre in Kashmir.

Through this workshop the Kashmir Press Club aims to introduce its members and journalistic fraternity to different elements of this art form and prepare the young and aspiring journalists towards developing a critical understanding of theatre as a tool in communication and to help them better report it.

Keeping this in backdrop, the KPC invites its members and aspiring journalists to register for the event. Senior journalist and KPC Executive member Gowhar Geelani is the coordinator of the workshop and participants can register with Mr. Sajad at      98583 94209.

The detailed agenda of the workshop would be communicated separately once the registration process is over.
