Sensex rebounds over 300 pts

Mumbai, Mar 18 : The BSE Sensex on Thursday bounced back by 360 pts to open at 50,161.25 following gains in Consumer Durable, Metal, Power and Realty stocks.

The Nifty too gained by 56 pts to 14,777.75.

The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 50,296.35 and 49,919.66 pts respectively.

The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 14,875.20 and 14,757.90 respectively.

The Mid Cap rose by 0.05 pc while Small Cap fell by 0.16 pc.

In 30 scrips 23 advanced while 7 declined.

The gainers were Bajaj Finance by 2.30 pc to Rs 5482, ITC by 2.28 pc to Rs 215.35, M& M by 1.94 pc to Rs 852.95 and Maruti Suzuki by 1.79 pc to Rs 7198.

The losers Infosys by 1.46 pc to Rs 1366.90, Dr Reddy by 1.29 pc to Rs 4300, Asian Paints by 0.91 pc to Rs 2400.65 and Sun Pharma by 0.79 pc to Rs 580.60.
