Farmers’ exposure tour to UT; DD FTEC Ganderbal flaggs off the buses

Ganderbal, Mar 04 : To the delight of the traditional farmers and educated unemployed youth of district Ganderbal, Deputy Director, Farmers Training & Education Centre (FTEC), Ganderbal flagged off two buses carrying 70 farmers for an exposure visit within the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir here today.

Deputy Director FTEC and Incharge Chief Agriculture Officer, Ganderbal, GM Dhobi on the occasion said that 70 farmers, 35 males and 35 females including traditional farmers as well as unemployed educated boys and girls are being sent to the exposure tour with an aim that they’ll analyse how to practice best farming and learn productive farming. He expressed hope that the process of imparting training and other educational means which were affected due to covid-19, would now be reboosted so that the agriculture sector gains momentum and people would be able to uplift and improve their economic conditions.

Many farmers while speaking to Global Newsline expressed their cordial gratitude to the department for this opportunity. The educated unemployed ladies said that this tour would enhance their knowledge and skills to empower them and would provide them the opportunity to earn their livelihood in an honourable manner.
