Srinagar, Sep 2: A tourist vehicle carrying six passengers was struck by a heavy stone that suddenly rolled down a hillside near Bumzoo Shrine on the KP Road in Mattan area of Anantnag district on Wednesday.
The Innova vehicle, bearing registration number JK01AT-8081 was on way to Anantnag from Pahalgam when the stone hit the vehicle.
One of the tourists, identified as 55-year-old R. Himansu Prasad Rao, a resident of Ganjam district of Odisha, sustained serious injuries in the incident.
He was immediately evacuated to Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag for treatment.
The condition of the tourist is stated to be critical. [KNT]
