Labourer found dead in Sopore, inquest launched

Sopor: A labourer was found dead at his residence in the Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday, officials said.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the labour was shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Sopore after being found unconscious at his residence in Hardushiva.

He said doctors declared him brought dead on arrival, while his identity is yet to be ascertained.

The body has been kept at the mortuary of SDH Sopore for post-mortem examination.

Police have initiated inquest proceedings and the body will be handed over to the family after completion of legal formalities.—(KNO)
