Srinagar, August 6: Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Mohammad Umar Farooq has expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of Haji Bashir Ahmad Masoodi, originally from Khrew and presently residing at Upper Soura, Srinagar, a relative of the Mirwaiz family, who passed away after a brief illness.
Mirwaiz remembered the late Masoodi as a pious, humble and sincere person. He said the deceased remained deeply attached to religious and spiritual values and was held in great respect by all those who knew him.
Mirwaiz visited the bereaved family and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the deceased’s sons, Mohammad Yaseen Masoodi, Hafizullah Masoodi and Mohammad Amin Masoodi, as well as other members of the family.
He offered Fateha for the departed soul and prayed to Almighty Allah to grant him Jannat-ul-Firdous and bestow patience and strength upon the bereaved family to bear this loss.
