Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Congress has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of its senior office-bearer and Office Secretary, Mr. Mohammad Saleem.
Party leaders and colleagues remembered Mr. Saleem as a kind, humble, and dedicated person whose sincerity, commitment, and selfless service to the party and people will always be remembered. His sudden demise has left a deep void among Congress workers and the people associated with him.
Paying tribute to the departed soul, senior Congress leader and former MLC Ravinder Sharma said that he was deeply saddened by the passing away of Mohammad Saleem, describing him as the backbone of Congress Headquarters Srinagar for over two decades.
Sharma said that Mr. Saleem was a dedicated and capable Congress leader who served as a permanent Office Secretary and efficiently handled office responsibilities, public relations, and media coordination for more than twenty years. He added that Saleem was highly respected among party cadres and the media fraternity for his professionalism, efficiency, and commitment.
“I have lost a trusted colleague who assisted me in my media assignments for around two decades. I never believed that the cruel hands of death would snatch him away from us in such a short time. I have no words to express my grief and feelings over his demise,” Sharma said.
He conveyed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family, friends, admirers, and all those who knew Mr. Saleem.
The Congress leadership prayed that Almighty Allah grants forgiveness to the departed soul, blesses him with the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous, and gives strength and patience to the bereaved family and loved ones to bear this irreparable loss.
May his soul rest in eternal peace. Ameen.
