Rajouri DC Office Declared Unsafe After Structural Cracks Emerge, Shifting Begins

Rajouri, July 27,: The office building of the District Development Commissioner (DDC) in Rajouri has been declared unsafe after continuous heavy rainfall led to the appearance of structural cracks in the premises.

Officials said the administration has initiated the process of shifting the District Development Commissioner’s office to an alternate location as a precautionary measure to safeguard employees and the public.

The decision was taken after the building developed visible structural cracks following persistent rainfall, raising concerns about its safety.

The district administration said necessary arrangements are being made to ensure that public services and official work continue without interruption during the relocation process.

Further assessment of the building will be carried out by the concerned technical authorities to determine the extent of the damage and the measures required for its restoration. [KNT]
